As a new service, we offer oncologist Dr. Peeter Padrik’s outpatient appointments and consultations.
Dr. Padrik is a doctor of medical sciences with over 30 years of experience in oncology and has previously worked as the Director of the Cancer Center and Head of the Clinic of Hematology and Oncology of Tartu University Hospital.
Oncology consultations are primarily focused on two directions:
- Precision prevention of malignancies and genetic risk assessment:
The consultations are intended for healthy people who want to behave health-consciously and implement preventive measures to reduce the risk of malignancies.
The consultations are intended both for those whose families have a history of cancer and for those, whose relatives have not had cancer.
- Second opinion on the diagnosis and treatment of malignancies, personalized treatments.
Second opinion consultations are intended for patients who, unfortunately, have already been affected by a malignancy and who want additional second opinion on possible diagnostic and treatment measures.
In modern oncology, the so-called precision or personalized treatment solutions are possible.
The secondary opinion does not mean that the patient’s current doctor does not provide adequate diagnosis or treatment – malignancies are simply such a complex problem that the approaches and solutions may not be the same.
The European Code of Cancer Practice (https://www.europeancancer.org/2-standard/66-european-code-of-cancer-practice) sees as one of the primary rights of cancer patients access to affordable and optimal cancer treatment, including second opinion.
Consultations are possible at Antegenes medical Office at Linnamäe tee 3, Tallinn (5th floor) or as at the patient’s request and consent as an online video consultation.
OÜ Antegenes does not perform cancer treatment.
Counseling based on Antegenes genetic tests for precision prevention (15 min) is free of charge.
The cost of a second opinion and more in-depth consultations are based on time.
To register for the consultation and for more information, please contact us by phone 5377 8141 or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
